Clay Mask

Zirh clay mask, clay face mask, good clay masks

There are varieties of clay, each with different constituents and minerals. They combine well with essential oils to form masks, with the result, the skin gets wonderful results.
Clay masks are good at treating acne, blackheads, and preventing inflammation of skin and wrinkles. They peel off the dead cell of the skin. They give strength to the skin, restore lost strength and excite the skin.
Let us now think of a popular mask known as Fuller’s Earth. It is useful for treating oily skin and normal skin. It is exhilarating clay, good at cleaning the skin surface. It has good control over the outer layer of the skin. It can peel the skin, removing dead skin cells. It is brown in color.
Green clay is probably the best of all clays. It can treat acne and prevents aging of the skin. It contains calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium. It energizes connective tissues. It acts an antiseptic and leaves the skin soft and smooth. It increases lymph flow and circulation thereby eliminating the waste from the skin.
White Kaolin is another mask widely used for normal and oily skin. It has almost same properties as of the Green clay.
Before using any mask, ensure that it is tested against allergy. This can be done by applying a bit of the clay mask somewhere on the body. Leave it there for sometime, wipe it off. After a few hours, check if there is any reaction.
Let us consider the preparation of a mask for oily skin. Ingredients consist of one tablespoon each of clay, yeast and distilled water and a drop each of lavender oil and rosemary oil. Combine these to form a paste. Apply to the face. Keep for about 15 minutes. Then remove the mask with distilled water.
There are different ingredients for other masks for different types of skin. Let us look at another popular mask which will be useful against oily skin, acne-prone skin, dry skin and normal skin. Fuller’s earth clay, honey, milk and essential oil constitute the ingredients. Add one part of clay to two parts of water. Mix some honey and some drops of essential oil. Use a warm cloth for washing the mask off t the face.
